One library on several iPhones
Keep your library in a folder in iCloud Drive and use it on more than one iPhone.

How it works
Your library normally lives On this iPhone. To use it on several iPhones, you put it into a folder you choose, for example in iCloud Drive. Every iPhone that uses this folder shows the same pieces.
- The library stays encrypted: the folder only holds locked files, and nothing goes to a Kuriosa server.
- Each iPhone keeps a working copy. Changes from the other iPhones arrive when you open Kuriosa and every few seconds while it is open.
- Without internet you keep working; the changes are combined later, piece by piece and field by field.
On your first iPhone
- Open Settings › Library.
- Tap Choose folder … and choose a folder, for example in iCloud Drive.
- Confirm with Move library.
Kuriosa copies your library there and keeps it on this iPhone until the move has worked. Status then shows Up to date.
On another iPhone
Have your emergency sheet with the recovery key at hand.
- Install Kuriosa. On its first screen, tap I already use Kuriosa on another iPhone.
- Choose the same folder.
- Type the recovery key from your emergency sheet, or tap Read with camera.
- Tap Open library. From now on, Face ID or the passcode opens it on this iPhone too.
Already using Kuriosa on that iPhone? Choose the folder in Settings › Library › Choose folder … instead. The pieces that were on this iPhone are saved as a backup file in the same folder first; the two libraries are not mixed.
Status
Settings › Library shows the Status:
- Up to date: everything is in step.
- Waiting for iCloud: iCloud Drive has not delivered the latest files yet.
- Folder not found: the folder was moved or deleted.
- Update Kuriosa: another iPhone uses a newer version of Kuriosa.
In Activity, changes made on another iPhone are marked On another iPhone.
Back to one iPhone
Move back to this iPhone copies the library with its photos onto this iPhone, and this iPhone stops using the folder. The library in the folder stays for your other iPhones.
To restore a backup, move the library back to this iPhone first.
