Your private cabinet.

Kuriosa is a showcase for everything you collect. Every piece stands in its own light, with photos first and every detail one tap away. Your collection stays encrypted, with you.

Overview

For whatever you collect

  • Watches
  • Coins
  • Stamps
  • Art
  • Wine
  • Sneakers
  • Cars
  • Knives
  • Your own

Each kind of collection starts with fields that fit it, and a blank start fits everything else. Rename, add, and hide fields as you like, and keep collections inside collections.

Showcase

Every piece in its own light.

Swipe through a collection like a gallery, or switch to a grid or a list. A piece's page shows its photos first, then everything you know about it.

  • Remove the background of a photo on your iPhone; the original is always kept
  • Rotate and crop without changing the photo itself
  • Coins and stamps lie on a tray, front and back side by side
  • Choose the cover of each collection, or let Kuriosa pick its most valuable piece

How photos work

A piece's page: the watch lifted off its background in the showcase, its name, number, and values.

Any collection

Fields that fit what you collect.

Every collection starts from a template with the fields that matter: reference and caliber for watches, mint mark and grade for coins, vintage and drinking window for wine. Change them whenever you like.

  • Rename, add, hide, or remove fields; a removed field keeps its values
  • Calculation fields work out values such as a price per bottle
  • Sub-collections, as deep as you need
  • Bring in pieces from a spreadsheet saved as CSV

How fields work

Edit fields of the watches: the fields of the Identity section, with the shield of a sensitive field.

Journal

The whole story of a piece.

Purchases, use, sales, loans, and services go into one journal per piece. Its status follows the journal, and for things you count, so does the number you have left.

  • Lent out or at service: see at a glance what is away
  • A reminder before a warranty ends or a piece is due back
  • Receipts, certificates, and manuals as PDF, also scanned with the camera
  • Every change is listed in Activity, with Undo

How the journal works

A watch at its service: the journal with the date it is due back and a bell for a reminder.

Search and labels

Find any piece in seconds.

Search looks through every field, reference and serial numbers included, in all collections and on the wishlist. Do I already own this? Kuriosa knows.

  • QR labels for pieces, boxes, and shelves, on Avery and Zweckform sheets
  • Scan a label, a barcode, or a number like K-0001 to open its piece
  • Places from the house down to the drawer, each with its own page
  • Favorites, and filters by status, place, and tag

How search and scanning work

Search: every field is searched, with chips to narrow it to one collection or the wishlist.

Overview

Know what your collection is worth.

Totals per collection and per place, what you paid next to what it is worth today, and what needs your attention. Prices in other currencies are converted with the official rates of the European Central Bank.

  • Leave a collection out of the totals with one tap
  • Privacy mode hides every value while you show your collection
  • A wishlist with priorities, target prices, and a link to buy
  • Quiet milestones instead of badges

How the Overview works

The Overview: the total value, values by collection and by place.

Backup and export

Safe, wherever you keep it.

One encrypted backup file holds everything. Save it where you like, or let Kuriosa save one on its own into a folder you choose.

  • One library on several iPhones, through a folder in iCloud Drive
  • PDF lists for your insurance, and PDF catalogues
  • CSV tables for Numbers or Excel
  • A printed recovery key opens your collection on a new iPhone

How backups work

Settings › Backup: what a backup holds, Back up now, Your data, and automatic backups.

Private by design

Kuriosa has no account and no server. There is nothing to sign up for, and nothing about you or your collection is sent to us.

  • Encrypted

Your collection, its photos, and its documents are encrypted on your iPhone. Only your iPhone and your recovery key open them.

  • Face ID or passcode

The app lock closes your collection when you leave Kuriosa, right away or after the time you choose.

  • A key only you have

Your recovery key, printed on an emergency sheet, opens your collection on a new iPhone. Nobody else can, not even us.

  • Privacy mode

Hides values and sensitive fields while you show your collection. Serial numbers stay hidden until you tap them.

  • Travel lock

For a trip, your iPhone can forget its key, so that only the recovery key opens your collection.

  • No tracking

No analytics, no ads, no crash reports. Location and camera details are removed from every photo.

One exception: when your prices are in more than one currency, Kuriosa loads the public exchange rates of the European Central Bank. Nothing about you is sent, and you can turn it off. Read the privacy policy

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. Kuriosa has no account and no server. You open the app and start your first collection.

Where is my collection stored?

Encrypted on your iPhone. If you like, also in a folder you choose, for example in iCloud Drive, so that several iPhones can use it. Kuriosa never sends it to us.

What happens if I lose my iPhone?

With a backup and your recovery key, nothing is lost: install Kuriosa on the new iPhone, restore the backup, and enter the key from your emergency sheet.

What if I lose my recovery key?

While Kuriosa still opens on your iPhone, make a new key in Settings and print a new emergency sheet. Without the key and without your iPhone, nobody can open your collection, not even us.

Is Kuriosa a subscription?

No. Kuriosa is free for up to 25 pieces. Kuriosa Unlimited and Kuriosa Pro are one-time purchases.

Is there a version for iPad or Android?

Not yet. Kuriosa is made for iPhone with iOS 26 or later.
