Reminders
A reminder before a warranty ends, an inspection is due, or a piece is due back.

Set a reminder
Every date field on a piece's page, such as Warranty until for a watch or Next inspection for a car, has a bell next to it. So does a loan or a service in the journal with a due date.
- Tap the bell.
- Under When, choose On the day, 1 day before, 1 week before, or 1 month before.
- Under Repeat, choose Never, Every month, Every year, or every 2, 3, or 5 years.
- Check the day of the next reminder under the choices, then tap the check mark.
A filled bell shows that a reminder is set. Tap it again to change it, or Remove reminder to take it off.
The notification
Kuriosa reminds you with a notification on this iPhone at 9 in the morning. Its title is the date, for example Warranty until, and its text names the piece and how soon, for example "Submariner Date · in 1 month". While the app lock is on, the piece's name is left out. A tap on the notification opens the piece, after Face ID or your passcode.
Good to know
- A due date of a loan or a service does not repeat.
- The purchase date has no bell.
- Reminders belong to the piece: they are in every backup, and on every iPhone that shares the library.
- While the travel lock is on, the reminders are removed; they come back afterwards.
