Write to us
Write to support@kuriosa.app. Tell us what happened and on which screen, and which iPhone and iOS version you use. A screenshot helps, as long as it shows nothing you want to keep private.
Never send your recovery key, a photo of your emergency sheet, or a password. We will never ask for them.
My iPhone was lost or broken
With a backup and your recovery key, nothing is lost. Install Kuriosa on the new iPhone, choose Restore from a backup on its first screen, and enter the key from your emergency sheet. See Backups.
If your library was in a folder for several iPhones, choose I already use Kuriosa on another iPhone instead and choose the same folder.
Kuriosa asks for my recovery key
It does so on a new iPhone, after a restore, while the travel lock is on, and from time to time before a backup, to make sure your backups will open. Type the key from your emergency sheet, or let the camera read it.
If you lost the sheet but Kuriosa still opens, make a new key in Settings › Security and privacy › Create new recovery key and print it. Without the key and without a device that opens your collection, nobody can open it, not even us.
Face ID is not offered
The app lock needs a passcode on your iPhone. Set one in the Settings app, then turn on the app lock in Settings › Security and privacy.
Removing the background does not work
Lifting an object off its background needs a recent iPhone and happens on the device. On some devices it is not available; the photo is then kept as it is.
Another iPhone does not show my changes
Open Kuriosa on both iPhones and look at Settings › Library › Status. Waiting for iCloud means that iCloud Drive has not delivered the files yet: check that both iPhones are online and signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive on.
The labels do not line up
Print the Test sheet with outlines on plain paper and adjust the position. Print at 100 %. See QR labels.
My reminders do not appear
Notifications must be allowed for Kuriosa in the Settings app under Apps › Kuriosa › Notifications. See Reminders.
I bought Unlimited or Pro on another iPhone
Open the purchase sheet in Settings and tap Restore purchase. See Free, Unlimited, and Pro.
