How Kuriosa keeps your data
Your data is yours. The formats Kuriosa uses are described here in full, so any program can read them, with Kuriosa or without it.
Your library and its backups are encrypted with your own keys. The pages below describe exactly how: the backup file, the library and its encryption, the catalog with every table, the templates of the collections, and the files of Export everything. The technical pages are in English.
With them and your recovery key, a programmer can read a backup without Kuriosa. The free page “Open a backup without Kuriosa” does exactly that, in your browser.
The descriptions
- The backup file How a .kuriosabackup file holds the library, and how its contents are checked.
